Felix was not represented in our family photo on the wall in MD. I wanted to look through old photos to find one of the 5 of us that we all liked, but instead I just took a new one, printed it, and put it in the frame.
Brian's mom always adds the photos to the front of the frame so you can see what was in it before. Brian's graduation, Us with Theodore, Us with Theodore and Henry, and now finally all 5 of us, in the grass at the farm.
It was a nice evening on the porch watching a storm blowing by and having pizzas and wine and water. I got stung by a wasp in the middle of my calf.
Speaking of calves, they have a calf here that is less than a week old, who is about the same size as a sheep who has decided he's a cow and is sharing the meadow with the herd. Very cute. I bet before we leave that calf is going to be decidedly bigger.
My favorite part of the day was watching the kids chase the chickens into the coop for the night. They were all chasing specific chickens, but accidentally chasing other ones the wrong way. several chickens ended up back outside the barnyard, which was all wonderful, because they got to chase the same chickens again. the rooster stood guard until all the hens were home. Another rain shower chased us inside.
That's a lovely family picture!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! Pinwheel ad a certain sense of...whimsy.
ReplyDeleteHenry insisted on the pinwheels, actually. to fit them in the picture in the physical frame i had to photoshop more grass.
