took a very brave theodore to the dentist this morning, he had his tooth filled, no Novocaine, and no crying. he has to go back next week, poor thing. it's so unfair, he eats nearly no sweets, and brushes his teeth quite often. such is life. i took him home, and then went for a long walk alone, and then grabbed nina for a walk/chat/coffee before she had to hurry to work.

irmtraud had us all over for a visit in the afternoon. lots of fancy foods, all delicious. the foods that i made mostly didn't work the way i wanted, so i didn't bring them. the kids played by the pool, but mostly just watched the afternoon world cup football match in awe in the living room. i went to pick up my fixed viola, viola bow, case and everything else and pay the bill. barbara and my families went home early and we watched the football match in the evening.
