today was our typical monday with so much stuff PLUS a Nita visit (and of course Mary and Agnes are still here)
Mary saved the day by picking up Theodore and taking him to lunch. I cooked with Nita, and we just chatted, and when Mary got back, we had wine and chatted more. we finally gave back the laptop that priya had left here over the summer that we had been intending on sending back in the mail.

she stayed as long as humanly possible, and i went to the train station with her in a taxi, and took felix along too. while we were waving to the train a guy asked if i had any cigarettes, and i said no. then he asked felix if he wanted an umbrella felix said yes, and the guy gave him one. a huge one, longer than felix, and with a wooden handle. felix beamed the whole way home. it wasn't raining. it was beautiful fall weather.
