The first step was fixing the Antrios, with a hammer and a bunch of nails.
The frame of the 4ftx5ft canvas had snapped on the roof of a car about a half a km from the starting point at the Graz Uni. So, Cecilia and the friends who had been driving decided to make the most of the mistake and "fold it" to fit it in the car. Managed to fix it in time for an only-slightly-delayed run-through.
Run-through was a muddle. Mixed up lines, music, durcheinander spotlights, difficult-to-light painting (since it's all white every single reflection/shadow has to be considered) But after a few original handmade silver mozartkugeln and a few naps we did some makeup and headed out on stage. the show was magnificent, not a single mixup, with unbelievably high energy, and the party afterwards was good enough that our spontaneou irishpub dancing was instagrammed by one of the bartenders and supposedly tagged with #salzburg - which is basically the same thing as sending mail to someone you love by using a helium balloon in a thunderstorm. i guess we'll never see that photo. :)
I was also personally followed around by a crazy lady who asked me for my phone number, and smiled creepily at me while i was dancing. i said no, and she said "but why?" i walked away, she followed me. freaky. this went on for about 2 hours.
The cab driver took us back to the yoho (short for youth hostel) and explained most interesting things to us. "weed is not legal tender" "if i trade sex for cab fare i could get put in prison for nothing" and "if i don't like them, i don't drive white people" while swerving all around the road and nearly taking some wrong turns.
all in all a fantastic day!
