overall a very mild day, finally not so terribly hot.
kris called and asked if i wanted to play frisbee in the afternoon. i countered that he could go dancing with me tomorrow morning, as a couple as part of the Dixieland festival in fuerstenfeld. he said yes! so that's what i'm doing tomorrow!

the nice family to the right of kris, watching |
after kris showed up we biked to the park, and tossed around a frisbee for a while. henry and felix were completely dressed as soccer players and took over the soccer field with some much older kids. theodore was in a mask and a cape and a helmet, and alternated between frisbee with us and soccer with the rest. a family of immigrants sat on the sidelines and watched the frisbee game, and the littlest kid really wanted to catch/throw with us, but i don't think he had ever seen one. kris' patience teaching him to throw was not fruitful, but fun to watch. the 3 year old talking arabic and kris talking english. the family offered us some tea. we should have said yes, culturally speaking, but we were also having a lot of fun playing. eventually i stopped, having gotten a big blue bruise on my hand from catching the frisbee wrong once or twice.
