Theodore and Henry have been playing with a Quartet for a few years now, and they sometimes get quite cranky about it although they could make such beautiful music together. This morning, though it's still vacation, the other two kids came over and I helped them rehearse together. We played through all their pieces and then we had palatschinken.
As soon as they left I ran out the door to get to kunstGarten for work. Eva J. was playing today, accompanying Irmi reading horrific stories about South America, sadly only too relevant to the news in the world since yesterday. A new year means new budget files and excel spreadsheets, so I made those.
I was so hungry when I got home, but there was no food, and nobody had any wishes.
So, in chronological order... I ended up having 2 day old soup. Theodore made himself an egg. Felix made himself oatmeal. Henry made himself pasta. Brian ate something when he got home from shape singing.
9pm was New Years Resolution time - this year we started with a dark room and with every resolution we lit a candle on the Christmas tree. The resolutions are as follows:
Brian: Every day, practice improving my singing
Irma: Talk less, say more, listen more
Centa: I will continue to jumping jack the date
Theodore: Resolve to practice violin more, because organ I practice enough
Henry: Also, hmm, also, hmmm, hmmm, I think I'll try to do pull-ups every day
Felix: now i have no idea. how about...... I'll answer every letter/postcard I get
