sometimes january is more than just cold and grey. today manuela and i went to a little 10km hike near Wildon. We saw caves and ruins and trees and tried and failed to capture birds with our cameras.

I almost didn't go because my head hurt, and I stalled as much as I could leaving the house, but I was glad I forced myself to leave the house. My headache didn't go away though, and it really put a damper on my afternoon/evening. That didn't stop me from taking the paint off one side of our bathroom door. It's so addictive to watch the paint melt away.
I still played Theodore's new violin while Theodore played chords on the guitar. I love playing music with my kids - more than most things in the world!
