I just couldn't cancel on Clementine who was holding her first ever conducting workshop - a very exclusive affair for just me, philipp, her partner kurt one lone outsider. i learned a lot even with ducking into the other room to sneeze or drink tea. it was a long walk back all the way from waltendorf with philipp, who graciously sight-read the piano accompaniment parts so henry could practice along. henry didn't even help me look for the piano sheet music. we chatted over getreidekaffee until brian got home from his pennyless players evening, then we chatted another half hour in the doorway.
